Last Friday I was invited to play at Nachtegiel, a radioprogramme on 3FM’s Fridays Freaknacht with Giel Beelen. I jammed with the rockband My Favorite Scar this time…Last time I jammed with the Dutch rapper, Tim Beumers and because it’s a live programme that also can be watched on television Giel asked me to rap with him and I couldn’t say no ofcourse.  After that my passion for rappin’ was born, hahahahhaha. This is the video of that rap:

So I went home and wrote my own rapsong, ‘Verandering van Spijs’, for fun (I’m into house you know that) which you can download for free here

Last Friday, when the show was over, Gerard Ekdom started his programme and I told them about my track and you know what? He played it! Hahahahahahaha, great!!

Couple of weeks ago a friend of mine introduced ‘WeTransfer’ to me, a free file transfer service that competes with traditional services like Yousendit, Sendspace and so on.

Here are the specs:

I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by the way it looked. Ads that are placed as a wallpaper in the back are nice to look at and make it possible to provide this free service.The graphics are clean and besides the 2GB space you have in uploading files, it’s quick in sending them too. You receive an email with the confirmation of your upload in the same style with a forward possibility and a direct link of your uploaded file to copy & paste in other emails. The link is valid for 14 days and the best part is that you also receive a download confirmation from WeTransfer when your file is being downloaded. Nice to know..

I contacted the owner of WeTransfer cause of the following ideas I had:

Why not make personalized pages for people that send out loads of files, artists for instance. That idea was already implemented so….I wanted one! And here it is..Nice huh?

The other thing was the ‘direct link’. I ‘d love to see the direct link in the screen after you finish your upload. Sometimes the confirmation email takes some time and time is money . For instance; If you want to send an email to a new client, in which you introduce yourself, accompanied with files you have uploaded, you want that direct link immediately. It’s a small thing, hey I’m not complaining.

Next to that more things came to mind which I have sent to them. I don’t know what the future brings for WeTransfer but at the moment they are doing a good job and I am very happy with it. Have a look at their website and try it sometimes: WeTransfer.

My twitter doesn’t give me enough characters to say what I like to share today so a blog this monday.

This week is going to be a busy one, tomorrow a collegue of mine is getting married and supposedly this is going to be the most amazing, filthy, crazy, drunk, musically rich wedding ever as I may believe the flyer (for security reasons I can’t show you …The dresscode is black/red/tiger prints and I think more than 20 dj’s will play that night. I AM EXCITED!

Ofcourse there will be a new Planet House Radioshow this Friday on Dancetunesradio and I received a couple of mixes after my shout on Twitter.Thanx for that guys!  If you too feel like sending one over, a 30 minute mix on 320 kbps mp3file, please do so..

Saturday another DeNachtQlub will be hosted by Club NL, Amsterdam, on the 14th of August and I can assure you this will be just as good as the last one on the 24th of July..if you haven’t seen the movie yet, click here

Also, something I ‘ve been looking forward to a lot, Wooferland Festival, Spaarnwoude, on the 14th of August. It’s a House Classic Festival and therefore I had to go through my vinyl to search for the jewels of the ’90’s. I play one hour on the Mainstage from 14.30-16.00 hrs and damn!, it’s not  possible to play all the old diamonds I’ve found.
